If you're looking for a TV that excels at displaying movies and series, provides a wide viewing angle, and offers exceptional dark room performance, the LG A2 OLED is an excellent choice. The OLED technology ensures deep blacks and vibrant colors, making it suitable for cinematic content and dark room environments. However, if you're on a budget and need a TV that can handle different types of content reasonably well, including cartoons and animation, and offers better bright room performance, then the Hisense A65K LCD could be a more cost-effective option. Keep in mind, the Hisense A65K may not match the LG A2 in terms of overall picture quality and viewing experience, especially in dark rooms. But if your priority is saving money and having a TV that performs adequately across various types of content, the Hisense could serve you well. If you value top-notch picture quality for movie watching and a great experience in darker settings, and you're willing to invest more, go for the LG A2 OLED. Give Feedback

Stratos Kampourogiannis | September 2023
"The A65K proved to be a rather capable TV that works great within its extreme limitations that its price dictates. It has great contrast, very low input lag and good color coverage. Add Google TV and a low price in the mix and you have an excellent low budget offering."

Techradar

Al Griffin | August 2022
"Movie fans will find a lot here to love, and the A2 series’ low prices compared with other OLED TVs will keep their wallets happy. Images had the deep blacks and detailed shadows typical of the best 4K TVs, while colors looked both fully saturated and clean. Also, the A2’s out-of-box picture performance in Filmmaker mode was mostly accurate, requiring only slight adjustments to optimize brightness, color, and contrast."

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About LG

LG, a prominent TV brand from Korea, has played a significant role in popularizing OLED TVs. OLED technology is hailed as the future of TV technology. Their TVs employ WebOS, a proprietary smart TV software that not only offers seamless functionality but also includes gaming-specific features, earning praise from players worldwide. Often regarded as the gateway to unparalleled viewing experiences, LG's mid-range OLEDs come highly recommended, making them a worthwhile investment for those willing to stretch their budget for superior quality.
