If you're on a budget, the Hisense A65K is the more affordable option, but you should be aware that it has a fair overall picture quality, which means it's not the best for all types of content. It performs poorly for gaming, so if you're a gamer, it might not be the best choice. However, it performs well in dark and bright rooms, with a good contrast and SDR brightness, but note that it has a poor dark room score. Its speakers are not great, and it does not support advanced formats like HDR10+ or Dolby Vision, which can enhance the viewing experience for movies and shows. On the other hand, the Hisense R6G, while more expensive, also has fair overall picture quality, with poor performance in gaming and a similar fair performance in brightly lit rooms. It also lacks great speakers and advanced HDR format support. Both TVs have a 60Hz refresh rate and support voice commands, but the A65K offers an additional HDMI port. "The A65K proved to be a rather capable TV that works great within its extreme limitations that its price dictates. It has great contrast, very low input lag and good color coverage. Add Google TV and a low price in the mix and you have an excellent low budget offering."

About Hisense
Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.
