If you're on a budget, the Samsung Q60A offers good picture quality, especially in bright rooms, and is effective for news and animations. However, if you're a gamer or frequently watch movies, the Hisense U8H provides very good gaming features and excellent movie quality. The Hisense also excels in bright environments and offers superior contrast and HDR capabilities. It costs more, but it's a better choice for diverse, high-quality viewing experiences, though keep in mind it has a narrower viewing angle, making it less ideal for wide seating arrangements. Both have good sound, but neither offers great built-in speakers. Give Feedback

IGN

Jaron Schneider | January 2023
"Hisense is over here making the best TVs for the majority of average families. U8H is a juiced-up utility knife of a television that manages to do a lot of things pretty well. The brightness this TV is capable of pushing out means I can see everything going on in any video game I’m playing regardless of what time of day it is"

CNET

Geoffrey Morrison | June 2021
"The least expensive QLED is a solid choice for Samsung fans. Right out of the gate my eye was drawn to the Samsung. It is bright. The quantum dots let the Q60A produce far deeper, richer colors than the Vizio and TCL"

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About Samsung

Samsung, a South Korean electronics manufacturer, holds the title of being the largest global TV vendor in terms of units sold. They offer a diverse lineup of TV products that cater to various budget ranges. A notable achievement in recent years is the development of Quantum Dots, a technology that enhances color reproduction, resulting in richer and more vibrant hues. Samsung TVs are well-regarded for their high manufacturing quality and user-friendly software, making them an excellent choice for consumers seeking an intuitive viewing experience.
