The Hisense U7H would cost you less and provides strong gaming performance and bright room viewing. However, it falls short in sports content viewing. The Sony X85K is slightly more expensive but offers better sports viewing and can handle a variety of content well, although it may not be the best choice for dark room viewing. Both TVs have similar capabilities in terms of resolution, HDMI ports, and support for common HDR formats. If budget is a priority and you're focused on gaming or watching TV in bright rooms, the Hisense may suit your needs. Give Feedback

The Sony X85K (LCD) and Hisense U7H (LCD) are both very good for news, talk, & other TV.
The Hisense U7H excels in upscaling lower-resolution content, which is crucial when watching standard-definition TV programs like news and talk shows, and while its SDR brightness is very good, its colors out of the box are only fair. On the other hand, the Sony X85K offers similarly strong performance in SDR brightness and upscaling, but stands out with excellent colors out of the box, ensuring that the content appears vivid and accurate from the first use.

REFLECTIONS SCORE
7.3/10
The Hisense U7H (LCD) and Sony X85K (LCD) are both good for bright room.
The Hisense U7H handles reflections decently and has very good SDR brightness for well-lit rooms, but its HDR performance, while good, can't get as bright, potentially leading to less spectacular highlights in HDR content. The Sony X85K also features very good SDR brightness and handles reflections better but shares a similar limitation in HDR peak brightness, meaning bright HDR scenes won't be as impactful as on TVs with superior HDR brightness. Both sets offer strong contrast and color performance, but their reflection handling and brightness levels are more suited for SDR content in bright rooms.

How the Hisense U7H (LCD) and the Sony X85K (LCD) compare to other TVs
"We loved the Hisense U7H. It was able to deliver an excellent all-around image quality in its price range. The TV excels at controlling its backlighting in a way that ensures you’ll never experience blooming to a level of being distracting, something that I was a little surprised to see given the lack of Mini LED. The TV doesn’t just get decently bright it offers relatively accurate color reproduction for a TV in this price range. The TV is being billed excellent for gaming."
