If displaying art or matching your room's style is important and you plan to wall mount your TV, the Samsung The Frame could be a great choice, although it's more expensive and does not perform well for gaming. On the other hand, the Hisense U6H is less expensive and offers better color accuracy and variety, making it suitable for watching movies and animations. However, if bright room performance is a priority, the Samsung might be preferred, but note that it has fewer HDMI ports compared to the Hisense. Keep in mind, neither TV is ideal for wide-angle viewing and both have limited speaker power. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Matthew Murray | March 2023
"A budget TV that exceeds expectations. (...) For a TV that costs as little as this one does, its brightness and color are above-average (...) The U6H may not get quite as bright as its splashier siblings, but for its class, it fares pretty well. (...) As far as input lag, the U6H is an impressive performer. (...) Costing less than most of its direct competitors, and matching or bettering them in several key areas, it’s an irresistible value proposition. (...)"

CNN

Tobey Grumet | May 2023
"The biggest, and most jarring, difference is the revolutionary matte, anti-glare coating on the 2022’s display. Not only does it solve my daytime glare problem of being in a corner apartment, but it somehow adds texture to anything being displayed. The Frame is a home run for anyone looking to add fashion to their function."

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About Samsung

Samsung, a South Korean electronics manufacturer, holds the title of being the largest global TV vendor in terms of units sold. They offer a diverse lineup of TV products that cater to various budget ranges. A notable achievement in recent years is the development of Quantum Dots, a technology that enhances color reproduction, resulting in richer and more vibrant hues. Samsung TVs are well-regarded for their high manufacturing quality and user-friendly software, making them an excellent choice for consumers seeking an intuitive viewing experience.
