It's better in bright rooms compared to dark ones but still just fair. The LG UP8000 (LCD) is often significantly more expensive and also has poor performance for movies, gaming, sports, and watching in dark rooms, but it has a good viewing angle, making it more suitable for wider seating arrangements, and it handles reflections well, which is helpful in bright rooms. If you regularly watch in a brightly lit room and have viewers spread out in different seating positions, the LG might be worth the extra cost.
