The Amazon Omni Series has a slightly better overall picture quality and performs better in bright rooms. It's also superior for watching news, talk shows, and reality TV, and for color accuracy straight out of the box. However, if you're looking for a TV to use in a dark room, neither option is ideal, although the Omni might have a slight edge despite its lower dark room performance due to its better black uniformity. The Samsung CU8000, on the other hand, excels more in sports content, and cartoons and animation, making it a better choice if you frequently watch these types of content. It also has a tiny advantage in gaming experience and offers better motion processing which can be important for fast-paced content. The CU8000 supports voice commands for accessibility, which the Amazon does not, and it supports more HDR formats including HDR10+ and HLG which can be a significant advantage for watching HDR content. Both TVs have their own strengths, so your choice should depend on what you prioritize: overall picture quality and bright room use (Amazon Omni) or sports, cartoons, and gaming with added HDR format support (Samsung CU8000). Both are similarly priced. Give Feedback

Nick Pino | July 2022
"If you want a competent budget screen with some handy features, the Amazon Omni TV delivers an experience that punches well above its price tag. You’ll also get the benefit of Fire TV’s new UI right out of the box. It’s clean and simple to understand, plus it puts content first. In the picture-quality department, the Amazon Omni is a surprising star among some of its dimmer, less colorful rivals."
