If competitive gaming is your priority, the Gigabyte M27Q-X offers a higher refresh rate for smoother gameplay along with features like strobing, making it better suited for fast-paced games. On the other hand, if you're focused on productivity and prefer a wider screen for multitasking, the Gigabyte M34WQ with its larger, ultra-wide display may serve you better despite its lower refresh rate. Neither monitor is ideal for HDR gaming or video editing due to limitations in HDR peak brightness and color volume. For digital photo editing, both monitors cover a wide color gamut, but the M27Q-X has a slight edge in AdobeRGB. Give Feedback

PC Mag

Zachery Cuevas | August 2022
"The company delivers again with the Gigabyte M27Q X, a 1440p monitor that comes equipped with just about everything you want and need from a gaming monitor. It may not be a 4K panel, but it more than makes up for its lower resolution in performance, bringing a whopping 240Hz refresh rate and a host of unusual features, including an onboard KVM and plenty of ports. It's a great performer, though low brightness levels and a so-so contrast ratio keep it short of top marks."

Rob Shafer | November 2023
"If you want a 34″ 3440×1440 ultrawide gaming monitor with a fast response time speed, smooth VRR performance, vibrant colors and crisp details, the Gigabyte M34WQ is one of the best options below $450. Additionally, it has an ergonomic stand, rich connectivity options and plenty of extra features, such as a built-in KVM switch. Some users might not be pleased by its flat screen, but at a certain viewing distance, it feels completely natural."
