If you're a competitive gamer who values high refresh rates and great performance to gain an edge in fast-paced games, the Asus PG279QM is a strong choice, despite its higher cost. It offers a larger screen and higher resolution for clearer gameplay and more workspace, which also makes it suitable for digital photo editing. However, the Dell S2522HG, while less expensive, still provides a very good competitive gaming experience with its high refresh rate, but at a lower screen resolution and size, which may affect the sharpness of the image and the overall multitasking space for productivity tasks. Neither is particularly strong for HDR gaming and media consumption, so if either of those is a priority, you'd need to look elsewhere. Give Feedback

Tom's Hardware

Christian Eberle | April 2022
"The Asus ROG Swift PG279QM is one of the best gaming monitors I’ve reviewed, and one of the best all-around displays too. With perfect video processing, smooth gaming performance and tons of rich and accurate color."

IGN

Matthew Smith | February 2022
"The Dell S2522HG changes the game. This 24.5-inch 1080p gaming monitor has a 240Hz refresh rate, yet it’s commonly sold for $249.99. That’s just tens of dollars more than an average 1080p 144Hz gaming monitor. The S2522HG cuts a few corners in its pursuit of pricing, but it’s a great choice for competitive gamers on a budget."
