If you're on a budget and need a monitor for tasks like digital photo editing, the Asus PA279CV offers high resolution and good color accuracy at a midrange price, especially suitable for tasks requiring fine detail and color precision. However, if you're willing to pay more and prefer an immersive gaming experience or need a wider display for multitasking, the LG 34GN850B with its larger screen and higher refresh rate for smoother gameplay could be the better option, although it's not ideal for HDR gaming or media consumption. Both monitors offer an adjustable stand and multiple connection options, but the LG's ultrawide aspect ratio gives a broader field of view for gaming and productivity. Give Feedback

PC World

Matthew Smith | April 2022
"Asus’ ProArt PA279CV is a sensible choice for content creators who want a color accurate 4K monitor but don’t want to clean out their savings account. It edges out alternatives like the BenQ PD2720U and Dell S2722QC in brightness and contrast without giving up ground on connectivity or menu options."

TechSpot

Tim Schiesser | August 2020
"Mid-range 3440 x 1440 144Hz VA monitors are ~$500 to $600 these days. You are getting a much better product for the higher price of the LG, with faster response times and better colors (outside of the contrast ratio), but this is definitely a monitor that is reserved for those that want the best of the best and are willing to pay for it."
