If you prioritize a top-tier gaming and media consumption experience and are willing to invest in a premium monitor, the AOC PD49 with its wider screen, superior contrast and color performance is an excellent choice, especially for immersive, cinematic gameplay. However, if your budget is more constrained and your activities include a mix of productivity, casual gaming, and media consumption, the LG 34GN850B offers a balanced performance at a more accessible price point, and it also has an adjustable stand for ergonomic comfort. Keep in mind though, the LG's gaming performance isn't as high-end as the AOC's, and it's also not as well-suited for true HDR content due to lower brightness and contrast capabilities. TechSpot

Tim Schiesser | August 2020
"Mid-range 3440 x 1440 144Hz VA monitors are ~$500 to $600 these days. You are getting a much better product for the higher price of the LG, with faster response times and better colors (outside of the contrast ratio), but this is definitely a monitor that is reserved for those that want the best of the best and are willing to pay for it."
