Choosing between the MSI Thin GF63 and the Razer Blade 17 involves significant tradeoffs in price, performance, and features. The MSI Thin GF63 is considerably less expensive and offers respectable performance for everyday tasks and some gaming, with a decent screen size and battery life that supports general use. It's relatively light and thin, enhancing its portability. On the other hand, the Razer Blade 17, while much more expensive, delivers superior performance suitable for high-end gaming, heavy 3D rendering, or intensive machine learning tasks. It features a larger and higher resolution screen, more storage, and a build quality commensurate with its higher price but is also heavier, making it less portable. If budget is a concern and your tasks are not extremely demanding, the MSI may suffice. If you seek the best performance for demanding applications and can handle a heavier device and a higher price, the Razer Blade 17 could be the better option. Give Feedback

Tom's Hardware

Charles Jeffries | November 2022
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | July 2022
"Our test configuration of the Blade 17 targets gamers and creative professionals. A Core i9-12900H processor, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP after the BIOS update, 16 GB of VRAM), and 32 GB of working memory equip the laptop for video processing, rending, and 4k gaming at the highest level. In addition, a fast PCIe-4 SSD (1 TB) ensures short load and storage times. With the Blade 17 (Early 2022), Razer delivers a successful and powerful work device for creative professionals. But this also has its price."
