The MSI Raider GE78 is tailored for high-performance tasks with a more robust processor and graphics card, ideal for demanding engineering projects, 3D modeling, machine learning, and high-end gaming. Its large screen and high resolution also enhance media consumption but at the expense of increased weight and size, reducing portability. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE78 is very good for general use, while the MSI Stealth GS66 is good.
The MSI Raider GE78 excels in general use due to its superior CPU, larger RAM capacity, and higher screen quality with greater brightness and color coverage, though it's less portable and has shorter battery life compared to the MSI Stealth GS66, which also features a good CPU and RAM, but favors portability with a lighter frame and more compact design, albeit with a lower quality display and less battery longevity. Both laptops have quality keyboards, storage options, and manage heat and noise well, but the Raider's top-tier specs make it particularly robust for demanding tasks.

The MSI Raider GE78 is best in class for gaming and AI, while the MSI Stealth GS66 is good.
The MSI Raider GE78 is superior for gaming and 3D due to its higher-end Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU and a faster screen refresh rate, enhancing graphics performance and on-screen fluidity. Meanwhile, the MSI Stealth GS66, while still capable with its Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU and the highest screen refresh rate in its class, offers a slightly lower tier of graphical fidelity and refresh performance.

The MSI Raider GE78 is excellent for engineering and design, while the MSI Stealth GS66 is very good.
The MSI Raider GE78 is optimal for engineering and design due to its superior main processor, double the RAM, and a more powerful GPU than the MSI Stealth GS66, coupled with a higher resolution and larger screen that enables crisp and detailed visuals. Although the Stealth GS66 is more portable and still packs a significant punch with a capable processor and GPU, the Raider GE78 offers a more robust setup for demanding tasks, despite being less convenient to carry due to its larger size and weight.

The MSI Raider GE78 has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When selecting a laptop for general use, the MSI Raider GE78 offers excellent visual clarity and vibrancy due to its superior resolution and brightness, which are crucial for activities like browsing and watching movies. For engineering and design work where precise color representation is key, both laptops provide good screen quality, yet the Raider may have a slight edge if it covers wider color gamuts such as DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. However, for gaming or 3D applications, neither laptop would be ideal as high refresh rates are essential for fluid motion and responsiveness, which these laptops' screens don't prioritize.

"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
