The MSI Prestige 15 has a dedicated Nvidia graphics card and will be better for intensive engineering tasks, 3D rendering, and machine learning compared to the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s which has integrated graphics. However, the Lenovo is much lighter and has a higher-resolution touchscreen, which may favor general use and portability. Both have similar storage and memory capacity. Consider that the MSI costs more and weighs more, but offers better graphics performance and is suitable for gaming, whereas the Lenovo is less expensive with a better battery life and portability but lower performance in graphics-intensive applications. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s has a better screen than the MSI Prestige 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering laptops for general use, the MSI Prestige 15 and Lenovo ThinkBook 13s offer displays with sufficient resolution and brightness, making text and images crisp and easy to view in various lighting conditions. For engineering and design, both models provide accurate color reproduction with their color gamut coverage, ensuring that designers see true-to-life colors. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short as their refresh rates aren't high enough for the smooth visuals that these tasks typically require, although the resolution and panel quality are adequate for less demanding scenarios.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s and MSI Prestige 15 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The MSI Prestige 15 has a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q graphics card which is generally better for gaming and 3D applications than the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics in the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, but both have the same screen refresh rate which is a limiting factor for high-level gaming performance. Despite the ThinkBook's higher screen resolution and quality, neither laptop is optimized for the highest gaming demands due to their similar standard refresh rates and the ThinkBook's reliance on integrated graphics.

How the MSI Prestige 15 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
