The MSI Prestige 15 is a more budget-friendly option that's lighter and has a respectable battery life, making it suitable for general use and business tasks. It has decent performance capabilities for less demanding workloads. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE78 is significantly higher-priced with top-end performance for engineering, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. Its graphics card also makes it suitable for intensive gaming. This model has a larger display and higher resolution but is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which impacts portability. Choose the Prestige 15 if portability and price are your priorities, or the Raider GE78 for high performance and gaming at the expense of portability and higher cost. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE78 has a better screen than the MSI Prestige 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI Prestige 15 provides a well-balanced screen with adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks, but for gaming and 3D work, the slower refresh rate holds it back. The MSI Raider GE78 steps up with a high-resolution display and great brightness for all-around use, and its color gamut coverage suits professionals in engineering and design. However, despite its other strengths, without a high refresh rate, the Raider GE78 isn't ideal for the fast-paced visuals demanded by gamers and 3D artists.

"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
