The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the MSI Modern 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI Modern 14's fair screen quality in general use and engineering is due to its adequate resolution and brightness, which are sufficient for daily tasks and some professional use, but its color gamut might not meet the high standards for professional design work. The MSI Raider GE76's very good screen quality for these purposes is because of its higher resolution, superior brightness, and extended color gamut coverage, making it suitable for precision work in engineering and design. However, both laptops have poor screen quality for gaming and 3D because they lack high refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and a more immersive experience in fast-paced scenarios.

"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
