The MSI Katana 15, being less expensive, is equipped with a dedicated Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, which makes it suitable for gaming and more demanding engineering or 3D tasks; however, this comes at the cost of lower portability due to its weight and size, plus a shorter battery life. On the other hand, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo, while more expensive, offers better portability with its lighter weight and longer battery life, topped with a higher resolution touchscreen that can be useful for business applications and general use. The Summit's integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics are less powerful, making it less ideal for extensive gaming or intensive graphics-related engineering work. Give Feedback

The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo has a better screen than the MSI Katana 15 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When evaluating laptops for general use, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo stands out for its superior panel clarity, higher resolution and brightness, making it more appealing for everyday tasks and media consumption. For engineering and design purposes, the Summit E14 again holds the advantage with its wider color coverage, ensuring more accurate color representation essential for professional-grade creative work. However, both the MSI Katana 15 and Summit E14 Flip Evo fall short for gaming and 3D applications, as they lack the high refresh rates needed for smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios, despite the Summit's potential edge in visual fidelity for slower-paced games due to its better resolution and panel quality.

How the MSI Katana 15 and the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"The MSI Katana 15 B12 combines a Gen12 CPU with an RTX 4050, which is actually not a bad idea for a budget gamer. The CPU is anything but bad and the GPU in the Katana 15 proves to be significantly more efficient than last year's models. However, our main point of criticism for budget gamers is the price: while you can get budget laptops with RTX 3060 from around US$800, you pay a whole US$1,499.99 here! The efficiency advantages of the RTX 4050 do not justify this price premium."
"The MSI Summit E14 Flip convertible review: a legit alternative to HP, Dell or Lenovo. Instead of taking the 13-inch Summit E13 Flip and simply enlarging it for a 14-inch form factor, the Summit E14 Flip is the full chassis redesign we've been looking for. It loses some of the golden trims of its smaller sibling, but the gains in rigidity and build quality are arguably worth it especially from a professional standpoint where reliability takes priority. It doesn't quite feel as strong as the HP Spectre just yet, but it's certainly getting close."
