If your priority is high performance for tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering, and you value a larger, higher resolution display with superior color accuracy for creative work or gaming, the MSI Stealth GS77 is better, though it comes at a premium price and is heavier, impacting portability. On the other hand, the MSI GF63 Thin is significantly less expensive, lighter, and offers decent performance for general use or less demanding gaming, but it has a smaller screen, lower resolution, less powerful processor and graphics, and shorter battery life, making it less suited for intensive tasks. The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI GF63 Thin is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS77 is considered better for engineering and design due to its more powerful CPU, significantly larger RAM, and more advanced GPU, which together provide faster and more efficient processing for complex tasks, along with a screen of higher resolution and quality, ensuring clearer and more accurate visual representation. In contrast, the MSI GF63 Thin, while lighter and thus more portable, has lower specifications in these critical areas, making it less ideal for intensive engineering applications.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the MSI GF63 Thin for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the MSI GF63 Thin's screen, while adequate, may not be as sharp or vibrant due to its limited resolution and lower brightness, whereas the MSI Stealth GS77 offers a higher resolution and greater brightness, making it more suitable for everyday tasks and media consumption. In engineering and design, the Stealth GS77's wider color gamuts ensure more accurate color representation, which is crucial for professional work involving detailed graphics or video editing, a feature where the GF63 Thin falls short. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both models may fall behind due to lower refresh rates, meaning less fluid motion and potential lag during fast-paced action or complex 3D rendering.

"If you leave aside the meagre port selection (no card reader, no DisplayPort, no Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen2), the fan control that could be improved (idle mode!) and the relatively dark and slow display, the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC does not have any major weaknesses. The 15-inch gamer is compact, has a low weight and offers a good price-to-performance ratio, which should please gamers that are looking for both a portable and an affordable gaming notebook. Input devices, battery life, case quality and performance are all appropriate for this purchase price."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
