The MSI GF63 Thin is significantly less expensive than the MSI Stealth GS66 and it offers a fine balance for general use, including a backlit keyboard and adequate ports for connectivity. However, its lower price is reflected in its performance, which is suitable for everyday tasks and some gaming but may not handle intensive engineering software or advanced gaming as well as the Stealth GS66. On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS66 has a higher price but comes with a more powerful processor, better graphics card, and more RAM, which makes it better suited for demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and high-end gaming. It also has a higher battery capacity, a display with a much higher refresh rate for smoother visuals, and an overall better build quality, keyboard, speakers, and portability factor. If budget constraints are less of a concern and you need a machine that can handle high-performance tasks, the Stealth GS66 is the way to go. If you are looking for a more affordable option for everyday use with occasional gaming, the GF63 Thin could be a better choice. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS66 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI GF63 Thin is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS66 is better suited for demanding engineering and design tasks due to its higher-performing CPU and GPU, more RAM, and superior screen quality, which are all highly important for such applications. While both laptops have their strengths, the MSI GF63 Thin, although more portable and quieter in operation, falls short in performance compared to the Stealth GS66, making the latter a more appropriate choice for intensive workloads despite being slightly less portable and having a potentially louder operating noise.

The MSI Stealth GS66 has a better screen than the MSI GF63 Thin for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, where panel type, resolution, and brightness govern the quality, the Stealth GS66 excels due to its superior display, offering clearer, sharper images and better visibility in various lighting. In engineering and design, the GS66's wider color gamuts ensure that colors are more accurate and vibrant, vital for detailed and color-sensitive work. However, for gaming and 3D, despite their decent resolutions and panel types, both the GF63 Thin and Stealth GS66 fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can limit the smoothness and responsiveness crucial in fast-paced visual environments.

"If you leave aside the meagre port selection (no card reader, no DisplayPort, no Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen2), the fan control that could be improved (idle mode!) and the relatively dark and slow display, the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC does not have any major weaknesses. The 15-inch gamer is compact, has a low weight and offers a good price-to-performance ratio, which should please gamers that are looking for both a portable and an affordable gaming notebook. Input devices, battery life, case quality and performance are all appropriate for this purchase price."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
