When choosing between the MSI Cyborg 15 and the MSI Katana 15, consider that while the Cyborg may be less expensive, the Katana often offers higher build quality and performance enhancements that justify its price. If budget is a primary concern and you need a laptop for everyday tasks and some light gaming, the Cyborg could be a good choice. However, if you're looking for better performance, possibly for more demanding games or software, and improved build quality, investing in the Katana may be worthwhile. Keep in mind that higher performance may also mean shorter battery life, and if portability is important, assess the weight and dimensions of each model. Give Feedback

The MSI Cyborg 15 and the MSI Katana 15 have similar screen quality.
For general use, a fair screen quality in laptops like the MSI Cyborg 15 and MSI Katana 15 indicates that they likely offer adequate resolution and brightness, but may lack in premium panel types that provide wider viewing angles and better color accuracy. When it comes to engineering and design, these laptops have fair screen quality due to acceptable coverage of color gamuts, ensuring reasonable color fidelity for most tasks, though not reaching the top tier required by professionals for precision work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the poor screen quality suggests they have lower refresh rates, which could result in less fluid motion and slower response times, alongside the moderate importance of resolution and panel type not being high enough to compensate.

How the MSI Cyborg 15 and the MSI Katana 15 compare to other laptops
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
"The MSI Katana 15 B12 combines a Gen12 CPU with an RTX 4050, which is actually not a bad idea for a budget gamer. The CPU is anything but bad and the GPU in the Katana 15 proves to be significantly more efficient than last year's models. However, our main point of criticism for budget gamers is the price: while you can get budget laptops with RTX 3060 from around US$800, you pay a whole US$1,499.99 here! The efficiency advantages of the RTX 4050 do not justify this price premium."
