If you prioritize longer battery life and a higher-resolution touchscreen for creative tasks or note-taking, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 may suit your needs, although it comes at a higher price. On the other hand, if you prefer a laptop with a larger screen, a higher refresh rate for smoother visuals in gaming and a better portability due to a thinner design, the MSI Stealth GS66 could be a better choice, generally costing less. Both laptops are capable of handling demanding engineering and 3D tasks, but the Surface Laptop Studio 2 offers more storage and RAM for intensive multitasking and large projects. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI Stealth GS66 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 offers a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and ample brightness, making it excellent for daily tasks and multimedia consumption. Engineering and design professionals will appreciate the Surface's wide color gamuts, offering precision in color-sensitive applications. However, for 3D gaming, where fluid motion is key, the Studio 2's lower refresh rate holds it back compared to laptops designed with higher refresh displays, despite its adequate resolution and panel type.

How the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
