The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 offers better portability, a touchscreen, and longer battery life, which makes it suitable for general use and travel. It is also less expensive. On the other hand, the MSI GF65 Thin, while more costly and heavier, boasts a stronger GPU, larger screen, higher refresh rate, and hardware ray tracing, making it more suited for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks. The MSI's battery life is shorter, so it's less ideal for on-the-go use. Choose the Surface for regular usage and mobility, or the MSI if you need higher performance for specialized tasks despite reduced portability and battery life. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 has a better screen than the MSI GF65 Thin for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI GF65 Thin has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, the Surface Laptop Go 3's higher resolution and brighter display provide clearer and more vibrant visuals compared to the MSI GF65 Thin, which may have a less vivid and lower-resolution screen. In engineering and design, the Surface's likely better coverage of DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color gamuts means more accurate colors, which is essential for precision work; the MSI's screen, while adequate, may not offer the same color fidelity. However, for gaming and 3D applications where fluid motion is key, the MSI GF65 Thin, despite its lower overall quality, may have a higher refresh rate than the Surface, making it better suited for fast-paced visuals, while the Surface's lower refresh rate holds it back in this context.

How the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 and the MSI GF65 Thin compare to other laptops
"When it comes to affordably priced laptops, the numbers after the dollar sign are crucially important—more so than in any other price category. By increasing the starting price of its Laptop Go line by $200 and not changing much else, Microsoft irrevocably altered the calculus surrounding the decision of whether to buy the Surface Laptop Go 3. Sure, it has a newer processor and longer battery life, but don’t think for a second you’re not paying dearly for that extra RAM and SSD capacity at that new price."
"The MSI GF65 Thin offers a GeForce RTX 3060 on a budget. The MSI GF65 is a relatively inexpensive RTX 3060 laptop and, perhaps not coincidentally, it also comes with a slower-than-average RTX 3060 GPU. Other laptops we've tested thus far with the same GPU are about 10 to 15 percent faster. CPU performance is also slightly slower than average unless if users decide to enable Cooler Boost mode. Colors, black-white response times, Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort are either average or completely omitted. Gamers who want to maximize performance-per-dollar without sacrificing RAM or SSD upgradeability will find the lightweight MSI GF65 attractive."
