The MSI Stealth GS66 and Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 are both good for general use, though the MSI Stealth GS66 is somewhat better.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is fair for general use given its mid-range CPU, adequate RAM for basic tasks, high-quality display with touchscreen, exceptional portability with light weight and good battery life, but offers less storage and lower screen resolution. In contrast, the MSI Stealth GS66 is better suited for demanding tasks, with a high-end CPU, double the RAM, a powerful dedicated GPU, larger and faster screen, despite being less portable due to its heavier weight and shorter battery life, it compensates with significantly more storage and better handling of heat and noise.

How the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 review is a compact companion with old hardware. The Surface Laptop Go 2 shows some weaknesses. Microsoft didn't really develop the second generation of the Surface Laptop Go 2 any further but has only equipped it with a slightly more powerful Core i5 processor. However, the performance still remains at a fairly low level overall, but for many users, it definitely should still be sufficient for everyday tasks."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
