The MSI GF63 Thin offers double the storage and a dedicated graphics card, better suited for gaming and graphics-intensive tasks, but it's heavier and has a shorter battery life. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is more portable with a higher quality build and screen, plus it has a touchscreen. Although they are similarly priced, the Surface is better for general use and portability, while the MSI is geared towards gaming and heavier workloads but is less convenient to carry around. How the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 and the MSI GF63 Thin compare to other laptops
"The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 review is a compact companion with old hardware. The Surface Laptop Go 2 shows some weaknesses. Microsoft didn't really develop the second generation of the Surface Laptop Go 2 any further but has only equipped it with a slightly more powerful Core i5 processor. However, the performance still remains at a fairly low level overall, but for many users, it definitely should still be sufficient for everyday tasks."
"If you leave aside the meagre port selection (no card reader, no DisplayPort, no Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen2), the fan control that could be improved (idle mode!) and the relatively dark and slow display, the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC does not have any major weaknesses. The 15-inch gamer is compact, has a low weight and offers a good price-to-performance ratio, which should please gamers that are looking for both a portable and an affordable gaming notebook. Input devices, battery life, case quality and performance are all appropriate for this purchase price."
