The LG Gram 16 is a lighter, more portable option with longer battery life and a higher-resolution display, ideal for general use and productivity with sufficient performance for typical engineering tasks. However, the MSI GF65 Thin boasts a more powerful graphics card, making it better suited for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, despite its heavier weight and shorter battery life. If you prioritize gaming or high-demand applications, the MSI is a better fit, but if you prefer longer use away from an outlet and a lighter device, the LG Gram 16 is more appropriate. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the MSI GF65 Thin for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI GF65 Thin has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The LG Gram 16 boasts a higher resolution and brightness, providing crisp and vivid imagery for general tasks and detailed work in engineering and design, but its standard refresh rate holds it back for fluid 3D rendering. MSI GF65 Thin, while offering balanced resolution and brightness for general and design use, lacks in both color accuracy crucial for professional design tasks and the high refresh rate desired for 3D applications. Overall, the LG Gram 16 excels in general and design use due to better screen quality, but neither laptop is ideal for high-end gaming or 3D work which demands superior refresh rates and graphical performance.

How the LG Gram 16 and the MSI GF65 Thin compare to other laptops
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
"The MSI GF65 Thin offers a GeForce RTX 3060 on a budget. The MSI GF65 is a relatively inexpensive RTX 3060 laptop and, perhaps not coincidentally, it also comes with a slower-than-average RTX 3060 GPU. Other laptops we've tested thus far with the same GPU are about 10 to 15 percent faster. CPU performance is also slightly slower than average unless if users decide to enable Cooler Boost mode. Colors, black-white response times, Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort are either average or completely omitted. Gamers who want to maximize performance-per-dollar without sacrificing RAM or SSD upgradeability will find the lightweight MSI GF65 attractive."
