The LG Gram 16 is a better choice if you prioritize lightweight and compactness, with good battery life for general use; its performance is suitable for day-to-day tasks and even some heavier workloads, such as photo editing. On the other hand, the MSI GF63 Thin, while heavier and with a shorter battery life, offers more gaming capabilities with its dedicated graphics card, making it suitable for gaming and graphics-intensive applications. The Gram may be pricier, but it provides a high-resolution display and is a more travel-friendly laptop overall. If you're looking for a gaming laptop and cost is a concern, the MSI is a compelling option. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the MSI GF63 Thin for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The LG Gram 16 offers higher resolution and brightness, making its display crisp and vibrant for everyday tasks and detailed work in engineering and design, but its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications and gaming. The MSI GF63 Thin's fair screen quality suggests it provides an adequate display for both general use and detail-oriented work in engineering and design; however, its performance in gaming and 3D may be hindered by both moderate resolution and a lack of high refresh rate. For engineers and designers, the LG Gram 16 is likely superior due to its more accurate color representation, which is essential for precision work, whereas gamers and those involved in 3D would find both models lacking due to insufficient refresh rates.

How the LG Gram 16 and the MSI GF63 Thin compare to other laptops
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
"If you leave aside the meagre port selection (no card reader, no DisplayPort, no Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen2), the fan control that could be improved (idle mode!) and the relatively dark and slow display, the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC does not have any major weaknesses. The 15-inch gamer is compact, has a low weight and offers a good price-to-performance ratio, which should please gamers that are looking for both a portable and an affordable gaming notebook. Input devices, battery life, case quality and performance are all appropriate for this purchase price."
