Choosing between the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 and the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 depends on your primary needs. The ThinkPad T14, with its AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Radeon 780M graphics, offers robust performance for general use and engineering tasks, though it's less suited for intensive gaming. It has a durable build, excellent keyboard, and long battery life, making it a strong contender for professional use, especially with its Windows 11 Pro operating system. However, it's slightly heavier and thicker, which affects its portability. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 features an OLED display with superior color accuracy and brightness, which is fantastic for visual tasks and media consumption. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and Adreno 750 graphics are suitable for general use and light gaming, but it may not match the ThinkPad's performance in more demanding tasks. The Galaxy Book is more expensive, but it's also thinner, lighter, and offers a touchscreen with a higher refresh rate, enhancing the user experience for those who value a responsive and vibrant display. Additionally, its 2-in-1 design provides versatility for those who want both a laptop and a tablet. In summary, if you prioritize performance, battery life, and a premium typing experience for work or engineering tasks, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 is the way to go. However, if you're looking for a more portable device with an exceptional display for media consumption and general productivity, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 would be the better choice. NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | December 2023
"We like a lot about this laptop. It has many ports, with the inclusion of RJ45-Ethernet as a defining feature. WWAN is upgradable for maximum flexibility and the ThinkPad has many security functions. Working with the ThinkPad input devices is a lot of fun, and Lenovo puts in a serviceable Low Power panel. The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U delivers a great performance and does not drain the battery fast. Fan noise and temperatures are nothing special, but also far away from bad. With the user replaceable keyboard, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 has a special feature rarely present on most modern laptops."
