The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i generally costs less and offers higher screen resolution, more memory, and a Mini LED touchscreen with a higher pixel density. It's lighter and has a longer battery life, making it more portable and suitable for general use with good performance in engineering and 3D/machine learning tasks, though its gaming performance is good but not the main focus.
The MSI Stealth GS66 has a higher price tag, with a focus on gaming aesthetic and hardware ray tracing for an immersive experience. Its powerful components are well-suited for gaming, engineering, and 3D/machine learning tasks, but it has less storage and memory, a lower resolution IPS screen, and a shorter battery life. It's heavier, yet it handles heat well due to a higher fan noise that might be distracting. If portability and screen quality for general use are your priorities, lean towards the Lenovo, but if gaming performance and a display with a higher refresh rate are more important, consider the MSI. The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is very good for general use, while the MSI Stealth GS66 is good.
The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i excels in general use, thanks to its high-quality screen, large RAM, and strong CPU, which guarantee smooth performance and a sharp visual experience, supported by a solid build and key features like a backlit keyboard and touchscreen. Although the MSI Stealth GS66 also offers a powerful CPU and good quality screen, it is more tailored towards gaming, as suggested by the inclusion of a high-end GPU and a higher refresh rate screen, but it has less RAM and storage than the Lenovo, which could affect multitasking and data handling for non-gaming purposes.

The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i excels due to its high-quality panel type, resolution, and brightness levels, which ensure clear and vibrant visuals for everyday activities like browsing and streaming. In engineering and design, the same laptop stands out because it covers a wider range of colors, providing accuracy that professionals need for color-critical work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the MSI Stealth GS66, despite having good attributes for general use and design, falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which is key for a smooth visual experience in fast-paced scenarios.

How the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is an impressive laptop with a brilliant Mini-LED display, a powerful 100-watt version of Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, and excellent connectivity. Having run the Cinebench benchmark again, we were impressed with the CPU performance. That makes the Slim Pro 9i is an easy recommendation, especially for those who care about GPU and CPU performance. It’s also a fantastic choice if you frequently view HDR movies and games on your laptop."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
