The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 has a higher upfront cost but offers better performance, a more powerful graphics card, larger storage, and a longer battery life, making it a solid choice for intensive tasks like engineering or 3D rendering. The MSI Modern 14 is more budget-friendly with decent performance for general use, and is lighter, thus more portable. However, it has a smaller battery and less powerful integrated graphics, which might not be suitable for demanding tasks. If cost is a concern and you primarily need a laptop for everyday tasks, MSI Modern 14 is a sensible option. If you require higher performance and better graphics for professional or creative work, and don't mind the higher price and slightly less portability, consider the Lenovo Slim Pro 7. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 has a better screen than the MSI Modern 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When choosing between the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 and the MSI Modern 14, consider that the Lenovo offers a high-resolution display with bright colors, which enhances readability and image clarity for general tasks and detailed engineering work, but its lower refresh rate may disappoint gamers. Conversely, the MSI's fair quality display provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and some professional applications, but like the Lenovo, it isn't optimized for the high refresh rates gaming and robust 3D applications demand. Both laptops, however, lack the requisite color range to meet the precision standards for high-end design work, which often requires advanced color gamut coverage.

"The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is an attractive, portable laptop that’s ideal if you need a combination of CPU and GPU performance. It also nails the fundamentals with solid connectivity, an enjoyable keyboard, a large touchpad, and top-notch webcam. Display quality is a weakness, but it’s an acceptable compromise for the laptop’s extremely competitive $1,199 MSRP. The Slim Pro 7 is a versatile, affordable laptop and hard to beat for the price."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
