The Lenovo Slim 7 16, priced in the lower midrange, is often significantly less expensive than the upper midrange Razer Blade 15. The Slim 7 offers solid battery life, a 16-inch touchscreen with a high resolution and refresh rate, and is slightly heavier but it has longer battery life than the Razer Blade 15. The Blade 15, on the other hand, is pricier but brings a more powerful GPU and a 15.6-inch non-touchscreen display capable of a higher refresh rate, which is better suited for intensive gaming and 3D/machine learning tasks. The Slim 7 is a good fit for general use and casual gaming, while the Blade 15 excels in performance for gaming, engineering, and creative tasks but has shorter battery life. Both come with similar amounts of storage and RAM, but the Blade 15 is more portable due to its slightly lighter weight and smaller power brick. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Slim 7 16 is good.
The Razer Blade 15 is favored for engineering and design primarily because its Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU outperforms the Lenovo Slim 7 16's RTX 3050, offering more power for design software, and its high-resolution screen supports a wider color range, important for detailed visual work. While both laptops share the same RAM and have quality displays, the Razer's superior graphics processing and screen attributes are better suited for demanding engineering tasks, despite both being good choices for portable, general-use laptops with good keyboards and acceptable operating noise.

The Lenovo Slim 7 16 and Razer Blade 15 have high-resolution displays with bright, vibrant panels that enhance viewing clarity and detail, making them excellent for everyday tasks and professional engineering and design work where precision in color and image quality is crucial. Both have wide color gamuts, ensuring that colors are reproduced accurately, a key aspect for design software that relies on color fidelity. However, for 3D applications and gaming, which benefit from fast on-screen motion, their screens may disappoint due to lower refresh rates, leading to less fluid visuals compared to laptops with higher refresh rates.

How the Lenovo Slim 7 16 and the Razer Blade 15 compare to other laptops
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
