The Lenovo Slim 7 16 is less expensive and offers good value for general use and light gaming with its decent performance and graphics capabilities; it's also more portable due to its lighter weight. On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS77, while more costly, provides a significant leap in performance for demanding engineering tasks, 3D rendering, and intensive gaming, with a more powerful processor and a high-end graphics card, but this comes at the cost of reduced portability due to its larger size and weight. How the Lenovo Slim 7 16 and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
