The Lenovo Slim 7 16 is often significantly less expensive, has a better screen resolution, a touchscreen, and longer battery life, which makes it suitable for general use and productivity with its 16 GB of RAM. The MSI GF65 Thin, although more expensive, offers a stronger GPU and is more focused on gaming, but it has half the RAM of the Lenovo and a shorter battery life. If portability and intensive gaming are your priorities, the MSI might suit you, while the Lenovo excels in productivity tasks and has a higher quality display. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Slim 7 16 is good for general use, while the MSI GF65 Thin is only fair.
The Lenovo Slim 7 16 better suits general use due to its higher resolution and brighter screen for better screen quality, twice the RAM for smoother multitasking, and longer battery life for sustained usage. On the other hand, the MSI GF65 Thin, while more lightweight for easier portability, has half the RAM which may limit performance with multiple applications open and offers a shorter battery life which could be less ideal for extended use without charging.

The Lenovo Slim 7 16 has a better screen than the MSI GF65 Thin for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Lenovo Slim 7 16’s superior resolution and brightness provide sharp, clear images and visibility in various lighting conditions, which enhances the user experience when browsing the web, watching videos, and working with documents. In engineering and design, where color accuracy and a wide range of colors are crucial for precise work, the Lenovo's better coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB ensures that the colors are more vibrant and true to life. However, when it comes to gaming and 3D applications that benefit from smoother motion and rapid frame changes, the lower refresh rate of the Lenovo makes it less suitable, while the MSI GF65 Thin, despite its other limitations, may offer a higher refresh rate that's preferred for those applications.

How the Lenovo Slim 7 16 and the MSI GF65 Thin compare to other laptops
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
"The MSI GF65 Thin offers a GeForce RTX 3060 on a budget. The MSI GF65 is a relatively inexpensive RTX 3060 laptop and, perhaps not coincidentally, it also comes with a slower-than-average RTX 3060 GPU. Other laptops we've tested thus far with the same GPU are about 10 to 15 percent faster. CPU performance is also slightly slower than average unless if users decide to enable Cooler Boost mode. Colors, black-white response times, Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort are either average or completely omitted. Gamers who want to maximize performance-per-dollar without sacrificing RAM or SSD upgradeability will find the lightweight MSI GF65 attractive."
