The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is the budget-friendly option compared to the Razer Blade 18, suitable if cost is a major factor for you. It has a mid-range price and offers good features for its cost, including a decent performance for general use and gaming. However, the Razer Blade 18, priced at the high end, delivers superior performance, particularly for more demanding applications like engineering, 3D modeling, or high-end gaming. It also comes with a larger screen, which might be better for productivity, but it does make it less portable and heavier. Additionally, a high-performance machine usually results in shorter battery life compared to less powerful laptops. So, while the Razer is more capable, it is also more expensive, larger, and heavier than the Lenovo. If portability, cost-saving, and good but not top-tier performance are your priorities, the Lenovo could be the right choice for you. If you seek the highest performance for demanding tasks and a larger display, and are willing to invest more, then the Razer is more appropriate for your needs. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 18 and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" are both very good for gaming and AI, though the Razer Blade 18 is somewhat better.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" provides solid gaming and 3D performance with its Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card and high screen refresh rate, while the Razer Blade 18 goes a step further with a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU to deliver excellent gaming and 3D experiences. Both laptops have a 240Hz screen refresh rate which is ideal for smooth visuals; the Razer Blade 18's stronger GPU makes it more capable for the most demanding tasks, but likely comes at a higher price point.

The Razer Blade 18 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is well-suited for engineering and design tasks with its capable AMD CPU, strong GPU, and high-quality IPS display, yet the Razer Blade 18 stands out with a more powerful Intel CPU, superior GPU performance, double the RAM for multitasking, and an even higher-quality display. While both excel in screen quality and processing capabilities, the Razer's edge in CPU and GPU power comes at the cost of decreased portability due to its larger size and higher weight.

The Razer Blade 18 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 for content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 and the Razer Blade 18 offer screens with high resolution and brightness, providing crisp, clear visuals and good visibility in various lighting conditions. Engineering and design professionals will appreciate the wide color gamuts of both laptops, enabling accurate color representation for tasks like photo editing and graphic design. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates of these laptops may lead to less smooth visual experiences, making them less ideal for fast-paced games or immersive 3D environments.

The Razer Blade 18 and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" are both very good for general use.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is well-regarded for general use because it offers a combination of substantial processing power with its AMD Ryzen CPU alongside ample RAM, a high-quality screen with wide color coverage, and good battery life, all packaged into a light and portable design. Conversely, the Razer Blade 18 also excels in general use due to its even more powerful Intel CPU and double the RAM, ensuring smoother multitasking, along with a superb screen that's larger and slightly brighter; however, it trades off some portability and battery life due to its larger size and increased power consumption.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the Razer Blade 18 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"Razer made a powerful laptop in the Blade 18, showing off a beautiful and fast display and the same high-quality build we’ve come to expect from this product line. It’s also quite expensive, which is hardly a surprise, but bears repeating even in this price range. It’s pricier than the Scar 18 despite an inferior GPU and half the storage, so you really have to want the Blade 18’s design to justify the cost."
