The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is less expensive and offers a higher resolution screen with better colors, which is great for general use and has sufficient power for gaming and engineering tasks; however, the MSI Stealth GS66, despite being more costly and having a lower resolution display, is a more powerful machine suitable for intensive gaming, machine learning, and 3D rendering with a higher refresh rate screen that is beneficial for fast-paced games. The Lenovo has better battery life, but it's slightly heavier; if portability is a concern, the MSI might be a preferable option. Both have ample connectivity options and features suitable for both work and play, so consider what's more important to you: screen quality and battery life or raw performance power and refresh rate for gaming. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" offers a combination of resolution, panel type, and brightness that enhances the viewing experience with clear, vibrant images, making it very suitable for everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, and video streaming. In the realm of engineering and design, its display excels with wide color gamuts ensuring more accurate color reproduction, which is essential for tasks demanding color precision like photo editing and CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of the Lenovo makes it less desirable compared to displays with higher refresh rates that provide smoother motion and a better overall experience for fast-paced visuals.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
