The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the MSI Raider GE77Hx for general use, gaming and AI, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 and MSI Raider GE77Hx both offer clear and vibrant displays with good resolution and brightness, ensuring that text, images, and videos look sharp and are easy to view in various lighting conditions. Engineers and designers will appreciate the wide color gamuts on both laptops, as this allows for more accurate color representation which is crucial for their tasks. However, when it comes to gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which means they don't render fast-moving visuals as smoothly, which might be noticeable in high-paced gaming scenarios or detailed 3D modeling.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the MSI Raider GE77Hx compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
