Considering your laptop options, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 might be more pocket-friendly and offers a high refresh rate display and a slightly larger screen, particularly attractive for gaming and fast-paced visuals. Its battery is also larger, which can mean longer use between charges. On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, while more expensive, boasts a higher amount of RAM, which can be beneficial for heavy multitasking and more demanding engineering applications. It also includes a touchscreen, a feature the Lenovo lacks, which can be useful for certain creative tasks or presentations. In terms of portability, both are similar in weight, but the Surface has a smaller screen which may make it slightly more compact. Please note that the Microsoft Surface offers higher performance for certain engineering applications but may not last as long on battery as the Lenovo due to its smaller battery capacity. How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
