If you need a laptop for high-performance tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive software engineering, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 might be the better choice due to its robust hardware tailored for demanding applications. However, if portability and long battery life are more important for you, and you're planning to use the laptop for general tasks like browsing, office applications, or light photo editing, the LG Gram 16 stands out as it is very lightweight and has a battery that lasts longer on a single charge. Keep in mind, the LG Gram may not handle heavy-duty tasks as well as the Lenovo Legion Slim. Additionally, opting for the Legion could mean a higher price and a heavier laptop to carry around. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the LG Gram 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7's screen excels in clarity and detail for general computing and engineering tasks due to its high resolution and brightness, along with a wide color gamut catering to professionals needing precise color representation. The LG Gram 16, while offering a clear and bright display suitable for everyday use and detailed enough for design work, may fall short in color accuracy compared to the Lenovo. How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
