For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on gaming and creative tasks, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is a strong choice with its powerful AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics. It offers a high refresh rate screen, excellent for gaming, and has a good balance of connectivity options including Thunderbolt ports. However, it lacks a touchscreen and has a shorter battery life compared to the Yoga Pro 9i. On the other hand, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is ideal for those who prioritize display quality and versatility, with its high-resolution Mini LED touchscreen and 2-in-1 design. It's also well-suited for general use and professional tasks with its Intel Core Ultra processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics. While it has a lower performance ceiling for gaming and intensive tasks compared to the Legion, it offers a longer battery life and superior color accuracy, which is great for content creation and consumption. Consider the Legion Slim 7 if you need the superior gaming and engineering performance and don't mind a bulkier design and shorter battery life. Opt for the Yoga Pro 9i if you value a premium touchscreen display, longer battery life, and a more versatile 2-in-1 form factor for general productivity and content consumption. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | November 2022
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
