The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers a stronger GPU and is slightly less expensive, making it suitable for gaming and engineering work; however, it's heavier and thicker, with a shorter battery life. The Slim Pro 9i, on the other hand, is lighter and has a higher-quality touchscreen display plus more RAM, better for general use and demanding applications, though it does come at a higher price and has a slightly less powerful GPU, which may impact gaming and 3D tasks. Both have ample storage and are premium laptops with backlit keyboards and various ports, but your focus on portability versus performance, and your budget, will dictate the best choice for you. How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is an impressive laptop with a brilliant Mini-LED display, a powerful 100-watt version of Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, and excellent connectivity. Having run the Cinebench benchmark again, we were impressed with the CPU performance. That makes the Slim Pro 9i is an easy recommendation, especially for those who care about GPU and CPU performance. It’s also a fantastic choice if you frequently view HDR movies and games on your laptop."
