If you're looking for high performance for gaming or intensive tasks, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 may be the better choice; however, it will be bulkier and might not have as long a battery life as the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, which is more tailored for general use and business professionals seeking portability and a sleek design. If budget is a key concern and you need the extra power, the Lenovo Legion's lower price point is attractive, but if you prioritize a lightweight, compact laptop with potentially longer battery life, the ThinkBook 13x is likely to be more suitable despite the higher cost. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 boasts a more powerful GPU and higher screen refresh rate, making it suitable for gaming and 3D tasks, whereas the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x offers moderate performance with a less capable GPU and lower refresh rate, which impacts its gaming and 3D capabilities but still maintains good screen quality. While the ThinkBook 13x is more portable and may have a sufficient CPU, it does not match the high-end graphics performance of the Legion Slim 7, which is crucial for those activities.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7, with a focus on balancing performance and portability, features a display providing clear images and good color reproduction, making it suitable for general use and engineering tasks, but its lower refresh rate could make fast-paced visuals in gaming less smooth. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x's standout display offers high resolution and brightness along with wide color coverage, enhancing experiences for both everyday tasks and detail-oriented work in engineering and design, though its gaming performance may be limited by similar refresh rate constraints. For gaming and 3D applications, where fluid motion is critical, neither laptop's display is optimized, as their refresh rates are not as high as specialized gaming laptops, which often boast quicker screen refresh capabilities to keep up with rapid movements and changes.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
