The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers solid performance at a more affordable price, making it a good fit for both general use and gaming while being quite portable. Its battery life is reasonable, allowing reasonable use between charges. In contrast, the MSI Stealth GS77, while more expensive, delivers superior performance for tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and other engineering applications. Its larger, higher-resolution screen is better for these tasks but also means the laptop is heavier and less portable. The battery is more substantial, but given its powerful components, it may not significantly extend usage time between charges. Both laptops have their strengths, so your choice will depend on whether performance or price and portability are your main considerations. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" is good.
The MSI Stealth GS77 outshines the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 for general use with a more powerful CPU, double the RAM for multitasking, and a higher resolution screen, which contributes to clearer visuals; though it is heavier, making it less portable, and has a shorter battery life. The Lenovo Legion maintains a balance with a lighter frame and longer battery life, making it more suited for on-the-go use, albeit with less processing power and a lower screen resolution.

The MSI Stealth GS77 and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" are both good for gaming and AI, though the MSI Stealth GS77 is somewhat better.
The MSI Stealth GS77 offers a higher grade graphics card in the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti and a 240Hz screen refresh rate, making it more suited for intense gaming and smooth 3D rendering than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7, which has an Nvidia RTX 3060 and a 165Hz refresh rate. While both laptops have quality displays and capable processors, the advanced GPU and higher refresh rate on the MSI are critical for demanding gaming and 3D tasks.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7, with its clear resolution and bright display, excels in providing a crisp and vibrant viewing experience for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, yet its modest refresh rate limits its ability to handle the fast-paced visuals required for immersive gaming and 3D applications. On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS77 also offers a high-quality display with excellent resolution and brightness suitable for general use and the wide color coverage needed for precise color work in engineering and design, but similarly falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate that does not match the ideal standards for smooth motion in 3D environments. For both laptops, while the resolution and panel type contribute to their overall strong performance for general computing and professional design, the limited refresh rates mean they are less optimal for users who prioritize gaming, where higher refresh rates are crucial for a fluid visual experience.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
