The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers superior gaming and engineering performance, with a powerful AMD processor and Nvidia RTX graphics, but it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the MSI Prestige 15. The MSI Prestige 15 is lighter, which makes it more portable, and it has a longer battery life, but it comes with a less powerful Intel i5 processor and Nvidia GTX graphics, making it less suitable for heavy gaming and resource-intensive tasks. Both have similar screen quality, storage, and RAM, but the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is slightly more expensive. Choose the Legion if gaming and engineering performance are priorities and you're okay with a little less portability; opt for the Prestige 15 for better portability, longer battery life, and if you're okay with lower performance for heavy tasks. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and MSI Prestige 15 are both good for engineering and design, though the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" is somewhat better.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 boasts a more powerful AMD Ryzen CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU, making it better suited for demanding engineering and design tasks, alongside a high refresh rate screen that enhances visual fluidity, but it's heavier and slightly thicker than the MSI Prestige 15 which offers increased portability with a lighter build and boasts similarly high-quality screen and RAM, but with a less powerful Intel CPU and Nvidia GTX GPU, possibly making it a bit slower in intensive applications. Both laptops have ample screen quality and memory for professional work, but the Lenovo's superior processing power and graphics might be more noticeable in more graphics-intensive engineering operations, while the MSI could be a better choice if portability and less weight are among the top priorities.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and the MSI Prestige 15 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
