If you require a laptop with higher performance capabilities for tasks like gaming or engineering software, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is recommended as it has a more powerful graphics card and processor. However, it is less portable and has a shorter battery life than the MSI Prestige 14. The MSI Prestige 14, though less expensive and offering better portability and battery life, is better suited for general use and less intensive tasks, as its performance capabilities are not as strong as the Lenovo, and it lacks dedicated graphics, which limits its ability in 3D, machine learning, and gaming. NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | November 2022
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."

Tech Radar

Collin Probst | September 2022
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
