Without access to detailed specifications or reviews of the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and MSI Katana 15, I can offer you some general advice based on common characteristics of these models. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is known for being thin and light for a gaming laptop, which makes it more portable, but this slim design can sometimes limit the cooling which affects performance under heavy loads. On the other hand, MSI laptops like the Katana 15 often prioritize performance and may provide better gaming experience but could be heavier and bulkier. Consider portability if you travel a lot with your laptop, or prioritize performance if the laptop will mostly be used in one place for gaming or intensive tasks. Always check for the latest components like CPU and GPU to ensure your choice can handle current gaming requirements or software for engineering tasks. Additionally, compare battery life if you plan on using the laptop on the go without frequent access to power. Remember, a higher price can mean better performance or build quality, so decide what features are most important for your needs and how much you are willing to spend. Give Feedback

If you prioritize crisp and clear visuals for everyday tasks or professional design work, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 might suit you better because its screen offers higher resolution and brightness, providing more detail and easier visibility under various lighting conditions. However, for engineering and design where accurate color representation is crucial, this laptop also stands out with better coverage of professional color gamuts, ensuring that your creative work reflects true-to-life colors. On the other hand, for smooth visuals in fast-paced 3D environments, both laptops may not be ideal as they lack the high refresh rate screens that are essential for those applications.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and the MSI Katana 15 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The MSI Katana 15 B12 combines a Gen12 CPU with an RTX 4050, which is actually not a bad idea for a budget gamer. The CPU is anything but bad and the GPU in the Katana 15 proves to be significantly more efficient than last year's models. However, our main point of criticism for budget gamers is the price: while you can get budget laptops with RTX 3060 from around US$800, you pay a whole US$1,499.99 here! The efficiency advantages of the RTX 4050 do not justify this price premium."
