The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers more RAM, which is better for multitasking and performance in memory-intensive tasks compared to the MSI GF65 Thin. It also has a slightly larger battery, potentially giving longer usage between charges. However, the MSI is equipped with a newer Intel processor, which may benefit certain applications, although with half the RAM, it may lag in multitasking. Both have similar gaming-grade graphics cards. The Lenovo has more modern features like a higher screen refresh rate and better color coverage, which translates to a more vibrant display for games and media. Nonetheless, the MSI provides an ethernet port for wired internet connections, which the Lenovo lacks, favoring portability. Choosing between them will depend on your priorities: whether you value higher performance and a better screen (Lenovo), or a newer CPU and physical networking capability (MSI), considering both are similarly priced. "The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"The MSI GF65 Thin offers a GeForce RTX 3060 on a budget. The MSI GF65 is a relatively inexpensive RTX 3060 laptop and, perhaps not coincidentally, it also comes with a slower-than-average RTX 3060 GPU. Other laptops we've tested thus far with the same GPU are about 10 to 15 percent faster. CPU performance is also slightly slower than average unless if users decide to enable Cooler Boost mode. Colors, black-white response times, Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort are either average or completely omitted. Gamers who want to maximize performance-per-dollar without sacrificing RAM or SSD upgradeability will find the lightweight MSI GF65 attractive."
