For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on gaming and engineering tasks, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is a solid choice, offering a powerful Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics within a robust build, though it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the Samsung. On the other hand, if you prioritize a lightweight, versatile device with an exceptional OLED touchscreen suitable for general use and content consumption, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14, with its Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset, is ideal. It excels in color accuracy and brightness, and its 2-in-1 design adds flexibility, but it may not match the Lenovo's performance in intensive tasks. Consider your primary use case—gaming and engineering favor the Lenovo, while general use and portability lean towards the Samsung. Give Feedback

PCMag

Brian Westover | August 2023
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
