The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is tailored more towards performance-intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D modeling, or machine learning due to its powerful AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia RTX graphics card. It's more suitable for someone who needs that level of power and doesn't mind a heavier and bulkier laptop with a shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s offers decent performance for everyday tasks and light engineering work while being more portable due to its smaller screen size and significantly lighter weight. It's also better for someone looking for a longer battery life and a higher resolution display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing more vertical space beneficial for productivity tasks. However, its Intel integrated graphics are less suitable for demanding graphic-intensive tasks. If budget considerations are a priority, the ThinkBook 13s generally costs less and also comes with Windows 11 Pro, which might be appealing for business use. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is good.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" stands out for engineering and design due to its robust CPU and GPU, which are more powerful than those in the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s; these components ensure smoother handling of demanding software typical in engineering tasks. While the ThinkBook 13s offers greater portability and a higher quality keyboard, the Legion's larger, higher refresh-rate screen and dedicated graphics card provide a superior experience for design applications and visual performance.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
When considering laptops for general use, both the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and Lenovo ThinkBook 13s offer satisfactory screen resolution and brightness, with panel types that provide clear and vivid visuals suitable for everyday tasks. For engineering and design work, although both laptops have good displays, their color accuracy might be limited for professional color work since they may not cover the wider color gamuts preferred in that field. However, for gaming and 3D purposes, the lower refresh rates on these laptops can lead to less fluid motion and response, which can detract from the immersive and competitive experience often desired by gamers and those working with 3D graphics.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
