The Lenovo Legion 5 15" would likely offer strong performance, especially for gaming and other resource-heavy activities, due to its focus on high-performance hardware, but it may be heavier and have a shorter battery life. This makes it less convenient if you need something very portable. The MSI Summit E16 Flip is aimed at professionals and may offer better battery life and a more versatile design, like a 360-degree hinge and touch screen, which can be excellent for presentations or creative work. If portability and flexible use are priorities, and you don't mind spending a bit more, the MSI could be more suitable. If you prioritize performance for tasks like gaming or intensive software applications and don't need the extra portability, the Lenovo Legion 5 could be the better option and could save you money. The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the MSI Summit E16 Flip for gaming and AI, while the MSI Summit E16 Flip has a better screen for engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a display with high resolution and brightness, and a panel type that offers sharp and clear visuals, making it ideal for tasks like web browsing, video streaming, and document editing in general use. For engineering and design, despite decent resolution and panel quality, its color gamuts may not cover the wider ranges required for accurate color work, which is why the MSI Summit E16 Flip with its superior color accuracy is highly regarded, as it accurately represents a broader spectrum of colors. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates of both laptops mean they may not provide the smooth motion graphics that these tasks typically demand, where higher refresh rates are pivotal for an immersive experience.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the MSI Summit E16 Flip compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The MSI Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop with pen, 16:10 display, and RTX 3050 Ti. The Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop from the business segment that primarily targets creative users. MSI combines a 16-inch touchscreen in the 16:10 format with a powerful midrange GPU. While the 2-in-1 laptop from MSI isn't meant for everybody, it should definitely attract some followers. The touchscreen display (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) covers the DCI-P3 color space. This is accompanied by stable viewing angles, a good color reproduction, short response times, and a good contrast level."
