The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is tailored towards gaming and demanding tasks with its robust build and high-performance components, which makes it less portable and heavier with a shorter battery life compared to the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, which is designed for mobility, long battery life, and general productivity with a sleek design. If affordability and gaming or high-end software use are priorities, the Lenovo might suit you, while if you need a light, ultra-portable laptop with longer battery life for everyday tasks and business use, the MSI would be more appropriate. The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is very good for general use, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good.
The Lenovo Legion 5, with its powerful CPU and ample RAM, is built for high-performance tasks and gaming, which makes it a good fit for general use as well, although it's heavier and has a shorter battery life which affects portability. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo offers excellent screen quality, a long battery life, and an ultraportable design with enough CPU and RAM for smooth general use, but its high-end features come at a higher cost.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 has a high-performance GPU and a fast screen refresh rate, which are very important for smooth gameplay and 3D rendering, making it a strong choice for gaming and 3D tasks. While the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo offers a good CPU and screen quality for general use and productivity, its GPU and lower screen refresh rate make it less suitable for the higher demands of gaming and 3D applications.

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion 5's screen excels in general use and engineering/design tasks due to its resolution, brightness, and reasonably accurate color representation for professional work, but its lower refresh rate makes it less suitable for gaming and 3D applications, where smoother visuals are crucial. The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo's display delivers sharp, bright images with a wide color gamut that benefits both everyday tasks and color-critical work like graphic design, but like the Legion, it falls short for gaming and 3D pursuits because of a refresh rate not optimized for those fields. Both laptops' screens lack the high refresh rates preferred by gamers and 3D modelers, which means they won't provide the smoothest experience in fast-paced or highly complex visual scenarios.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
