The Lenovo Legion 5 15" provides robust performance suitable for gaming and intensive tasks, thanks to its dedicated graphics card, at a lower midrange price. However, it's heavier and bulkier which impacts portability. On the other hand, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is lighter and much more portable with a sleek design and a higher resolution 2-in-1 touchscreen that can be used as a tablet or laptop. It sacrifices gaming and heavy task capabilities for business and general use but comes at an often significantly higher price. Choose the Legion if performance is a priority or the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga for portability and versatility in usage modes. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a high-end Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a high 165Hz screen refresh rate, which are very important for smooth gaming and 3D performance. In contrast, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, with its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, offers an experience that is good enough for casual gaming and basic 3D tasks, while prioritizing elements like portability and versatility as a 2-in-1 device.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is rated very good for engineering and design due to its powerful CPU, ample RAM, high-performance GPU, and excellent screen quality, making it suitable for demanding tasks but less portable due to its larger size and weight. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, while still good for these tasks with a capable CPU and quality screen, trades some performance for superior portability and build quality, alongside features like a 2-in-1 design that may benefit on-the-go professionals.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers a display that's sharp and bright, making it suitable for browsing, video streaming, and productivity tasks, although its color coverage may be sufficient for most engineering and design work, it lacks the wider gamuts needed for precision color work. The ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, with its similarly sharp and bright screen, also supports a broad range of colors, which benefits engineering and design professionals who need accurate color representation. However, for 3D applications and gaming, where a fast refresh rate is crucial for smooth motion, both laptops fall short, as their displays are not designed with the high refresh rates preferred for those activities.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The ThinkPad X1 Titanium is a showcase of what Lenovo thinks business computing will look like in the near future. People want thinner, lighter laptops with high-quality screens and enough computing power to get their work done. The X1 Titanium achieves these goals with some controversial but innovative design choices, including a redesigned keyboard and a pared-down port selection."
